When organisations introduce new strategies, processes, technologies or structures, managers play a critical role in explaining the change, maintaining team confidence and supporting successful implementation. This programme develops practical communication and employee engagement skills for leaders operating in periods of organisational change. It covers change communication, employee concerns, stakeholder communication, difficult questions, team meetings, feedback mechanisms and change progress monitoring. Participants work through realistic scenarios in which employees question the reasons for change, express concerns about its impact or challenge the practicality of new requirements. Through role-play and facilitated discussion, leaders practise communicating change clearly, honestly and constructively while maintaining appropriate accountability. The programme also helps managers identify different levels of employee support and resistance and adapt their communication accordingly. Participants develop a practical change communication plan for their own organisation, identifying key messages, communication points and opportunities for employee involvement. The aim is to reduce uncertainty, improve understanding and engagement, and support more consistent implementation of organisational change while protecting team performance.
